Why walk for Zoe’s?
Zoë’s Place Baby Hospice is an independent registered Charity providing palliative, respite and end of life care to babies and infants aged from birth to 5 years suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.
Zoë is the Greek word meaning ‘Gift of life’. Babies and infants come to Zoë’s Place to live life to the full. No matter how severe their disabilities, we put into each day as much joy as we can through play, touch, and stimulation, making everything as much fun as possible. The care we provide is on a one to one basis by registered children’s nurses and trained care assistants.
Compassionate care is at the heart of our philosophy and this will be provided to all who access our facilities irrespective of their religious beliefs, colour, race, culture or gender.
It currently costs £1.5 million each year to open the doors of the hospice. Without the help and support from the general public and local businesses, we would not raise sufficient funds to provide this much-needed care.
